Who we are

What we collect, and why
Product interest list. If you register interest in an upcoming product we store your email address, country and (optionally) where you race, and use it only to email you news about that product. Legal basis: your consent. Every email carries a one-click unsubscribe link.
Orders. Payment is handled by PayPal — we never see or store your card details. PayPal gives us your name, email and delivery address so we can fulfil and support your order, and we keep the order record for accounting and warranty support. Legal basis: performance of a contract, and our legal obligations.
Customer portal accounts
If you create a portal account we store your email address, a securely hashed password, your display name, your team, and the files and setup sheets you save. Legal basis: performance of a contract.
What you save is private unless you share it: teams makes it visible to approved members of your team, shared to any signed-in portal user, and your display name appears on it. Site administrators can see portal content in order to run the service. Deleted items stay in a recycle bin for 30 days before they are removed.
Software licences
A software licence is bound to an ESC serial number. We keep the serial number, the features unlocked, the date, the order reference and the email it was sent to for the life of the product. Legal basis: performance of a contract.
The RCDynamics app
When the app connects to an ESC it sends the serial number to our server to fetch its licence and checks for firmware updates. No account is needed for this, and the app contains no advertising or analytics.
Emails we send
Order receipts, licence keys, dispatch notifications, account verification, password resets and sheet-sharing notifications are part of the service and are sent regardless of newsletter preferences. Launch news goes only to people who have registered interest.
Cookies and local storage
We do not use advertising or analytics cookies. Your browser's local storage remembers your cart; a cookie keeps you signed in to the portal for up to 30 days; preview pages use a session cookie. PayPal's checkout sets its own cookies, which are covered by PayPal's privacy policy.
Security records
We rate-limit requests and keep a portal audit log of account and permission changes. Both use a hashed, unreadable form of your IP address.
Who we share data with
PayPal (payment processing), our website hosting provider (where the site and its data physically live), and nobody else. We never sell or rent your details.
How long we keep it
- Interest-list entries: until you unsubscribe or the product launch cycle completes.
- Order records: as long as required for accounting and warranty support.
- Licence records: for the life of the product.
- Portal accounts: until you ask us to delete yours.
- Backups: up to 90 days.
